Toho Tenex developed this process to reinforce and repair existing concrete architecture, using high-strength, lightweight carbon fiber sheets with excellent corrosion resistance to maintain structures that are superannuated or have been damaged by earthquakes.
The seismic process for reinforcing existing pillars with carbon fiber sheets in the MARS (Mending Applications of Reinforcement Sheets) System has received a Technical Evaluation Certification by the Japan Building Disaster Prevention Association.
